Is anybody out there still a fan of Chad Ochocinco/Johnson?? Kudos to the new young Dolphin Head Coach that had the guts to say, Please just go away!! How many times are we going to be subjected to this idiotic behavior like Mr. Johnson has recently displayed? Surely, these kinds of players are starting to get the message that Mr. Goodell simply isn’t going to tolerate this nonsense. For every moron out there that has made a couple bucks and, for whatever reason, thinks that their talent is going to get them through what you and I would be completely embarrassed and ashamed about, there’s 100 better human beings waiting for their chance to shine.
Good riddance Chad…your act is washed up and nobody thinks you’re funny anymore. Go fix things with your wife you loser.

Brian,
I just received your email about Chad Ochocinco and although he is quite a character, I adamantly disagree with the way the head coach and the general management chose to deal with the situation. If you look at past NFL professionals who have had trouble with the law for the first time, the general management usually does not come down so hard on an individual before all the facts come out.
I want you to consider this in your analysis of the situation. Chad Ochocinco has had no previous run-ins with the law or any past history with domestic violence. His wife Evelyn who was seen on the reality show Basketball Wives on VH1, has utterly shown that she is susceptible to violence against others. Her ex Antoine Walker, former Boston Celtics small forward, also claimed in the past that she has history lying and being manipulative to get what she wants.
Take for consideration the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers was accused of rape. That was not his first run in with the law so how come general management did not jump to conclusions before all the facts came out in that situation? Hmmm…..
Let’s be honest with ourselves, Chad Ocho Sinco is one of those athletes who have so much personality that it annoys the majority of people who have ever heard of him and people like that get treated differently than others. He could very well have done what he is being accused of but he also could be not guilty. As fans, and general management, we should consistently treat these athletes in a fair manner. Chad Ochocinco was treated completely unfairly in this particular situation. He was not judged fairly in this situation, however, he was treated with prejudice. His television persona and his innate need for attention should not be the reason for jumping to conclusions!
I do not want to make this a white versus black thing because in this situation it doesn’t 100% apply, however, African-American athletes over the years have been treated consistently differently than white athletes when it comes to problems off the field so the way that this situation was treated stands out to me in a big way!
