Predictions for Week 9:

Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills

For whatever reason, the Chiefs have not played well in Buffalo. It’s a road game and the Chiefs might let off the gas a little bit headed into the bye week, with the Broncos in Week 11.

Prediction:  Bills 17, Chiefs 13

San Diego Chargers @ Washington Redskins

Denver put up 31 points in the 4^th qtr vs the Redskins last week.  San Diego should be able to score at will and will get a rare east cost road win.

Prediction:  Chargers 38, Redskins 28

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns

The Browns very, very nearly knocked off the undefeated Chiefs in Kansas City. They can handle the Ravens at home.

Prediction:  Browns 23, Ravens 21

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

I like the Colts to get the win over Case Keenum and the Texans, but keep an eye on this offense without Reggie Wayne. Can this offense be as productive without its No. 1 wideout?

Prediction:  Colts 24, Texans 21

Tennessee Titans @ St Louis Rams

The Rams hung tough with the Seahawks last week.  It’s a short week but they stay at home.  The Rams D is better than advertised and will get after Jake Locker and force enough mistakes.

Prediction:  Rams 24, Titans 17

Predictions for Week 8:

Dallas Cowboys @ Detroit Lions

The Cowboys rank 30th in the league in pass defense, allowing 291.9 yards through the air each week. The Lions have the fifth-best passing offense, averaging 294.7 yards per game. At home, Detroit will stop Dallas from getting its third win in a row.

Prediction:  Lions 38, Cowboys 31

San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

At least the Jags get to see London before they get a whoopin…just to pad my stats….

Prediction:  49ers 50, Jaguars 8

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

Vick will start this week – healthy or not. He’s just not that good and there’s the Giants’ opening.

Prediction:  Giants 28, Eagles 17

New York Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Jets are ripe for a letdown on the road against a talented Bengals squad. Talent wise, the Jets are out-matched.  Sorry Bob…

Prediction:  Bengals 27, Jets 20

Pittsburg Steelers @ Oakland Raiders

The Steelers look to continue their rushing success from last week against a weaker Raiders team.  The D will put pressure up the middle on QB Pryor and cause a couple turnovers for the win out West.

Prediction:  Steelers 24, Raiders 13

Predictions for Week 7:

Cincinnati Bengals @ Detroit Lions

This is a battle of 4-2 teams that have some identity issues. Which team will show up and play like it’s supposed to? The Lions have home-field advantage and the better quarterback. They should sneak away with a win.

Prediction:  Lions 28, Bengals 24

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

Neither of these teams can play defense, so this could be a track meet, but the Eagles’ three victories have come against teams that have a combined 1-15 record. The Cowboys get the win as long as it doesn’t come down to the fourth quarter.

Prediction:  Cowboys 37, Eagles 31

Chicago Bears @ Washington Redskins

The Bears have had a nice rest but their defense is still hurting. I think the Redskins are desperate, and RGIII and Alfred Morris will come up big. Washington pulls out a close one at home.

Prediction:  Redskins 28, Bears 27

Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburg Steelers

I don’t trust either team, but the Ravens can’t run (26^th ranked rushing attack vs. 10^th ranked Pitt D).  I’ll still take Ben Roethlisberger over Joe Flacco, especially in Pittsburgh.

Prediction:  Steelers 24, Ravens 20

Denver Broncos @ Indianapolis Colts

The Colts will need Luck to sling it against the Broncos, but the return of linebacker Von Miller makes a huge difference for Denver’s defense. Nothing is stopping the Peyton Manning-led offense right now. Big night for Manning in his return to Indy.

Prediction:  Broncos 45, Colts 28

Predictions for Week 6:

Detroit Lions @ Cleveland Browns

Who knows what’s going to go down in this game. Two inconsistent, unpredictable teams. Cleveland is hot and at home so that’s who I’ll take, besides Detroit is without Calvin Johnson.

Prediction:  Browns 21, Lions 17

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It’s hard to really like either quarterback in this one. Foles for Philly has more experience. The Bucs are in a messy time now and the Eagles win by a touchdown.

Prediction:  Eagles 23, Buccaneers 16

Green Bay Packers @ Baltimore Ravens

Green Bay is without Clay Matthews for a month which makes these defenses could be pretty equal. The Packer offense is much better than Baltimore’s and Aaron Rodgers will be the reason the Packers win.

Prediction: Packers 33, Ravens 27

Carolina Panthers @ Minnesota Vikings

Neither of these teams plays exciting football.  The game is at Minnesota and Adrian Peterson should still get his yards even against a pretty good Panthers front. Where has Cam Newton been?

Prediction:  Vikings 17, Panthers 13

Pittsburg Steelers @ New York Jets

Steelers D-coordinator Dick LeBeau has had two weeks to get ready to face a rookie quarterback. Geno Smith has been impressive lately. The Steelers just have too many problems on offense.  Yes, Bob the J-E-T-S go to 4 – 2!

Prediction:  Jets 27, Steelers 17

Results for Hole # 4:

Prediction: Buccaneers 17, Cardinals 13 Loss:  The Bucs squander a 10 pint lead and lose more than a home game as their team is in disarray with the QB problems on the sideline.

Prediction:  Steelers 24, Vikings 14 Loss:  Pittsburg falls to 0 – 4 and the cellar in the AFC Central.  It’s still early in the season but…..

Prediction:  Cowboys 33, Chargers 21 Loss: Philip Rivers puts together a high quality game as San Diego tries to keep pace with Denver and KC in the AFC West.

Prediction:  Falcons 32, Patriots 28 Loss:  I don’t know how the Pats coaching staff keeps coming up with the answers but they do time and time again.  Great win on the road as the rest of the AFC East loses.

Prediction:  Saints 35, Dolphins 21 Win:  The Saints have a lot of weapons on the Offensive side and they showcased them against the previously unbeaten Dolphins.  I hope Tannehill paid attention to one of the games best.

Record for the week:  1 – 4.  YTD  13 – 8
